The Data Center Research Service just got a huge refresh, and the database is now fully updated with more than 5,000 global data center sites run by nearly 800 operators.
But that's not all. Here are some other highlights from this big update:
- All data navigation tools and download files are updated with fresh data.
- For the first time, we combine analysis of the wholesale and retail sides of the colocation sector to assess capacity growth across the entire commercial data center market.
- Last year’s analysis on sustainability challenges is expanded in this update’s Market Challenges chapter. There we discuss the current state of issues surrounding power availability and regulator changes in key markets and how they affect development. We also discuss the growing impact of AI development on data center development.
- Our table of historical data center capacity growth in key markets has doubled in coverage and now includes more than 200 markets. This can be found in the Site Data hyperlink and in the underlying data of Figure 6 in the Capacity Development chapter.
