The Data Center Research Service has been updated with new pricing data from H2 2022.
Inside you'll find a brand new pricing deliverable and updated pricing chapter, as well as a handful of new site profiles to peruse.
Price Trend Highlights
- As of H2 2022, we're seeing colocation prices rise significantly. In Europe and Asia, prices went up about 15% over the course of the year and are expected to go higher in 2023.
- In the U.S., ongoing "local turf wars" and vacancy issues among operators continue to drive median prices downward. However, as with everywhere else in the world, this is expected to change in 2023, with a strong inflationary turn.
- Singapore and Frankfurt are among the most expensive markets we track. H2 2022 was no exception; median monthly colo rates in both markets hovered around $500 per kilowatt. Rates rose in both markets by more than 20% between H2 2021 and H2 2022—a testament to the constraints felt in these markets which, despite demand, are enacting new sustainability requirements.
