The Global Bandwidth Forecast Service has recently been updated with new data.
The major changes this quarter include new historical and forecasted data on internet backbone bandwidth, but you'll also notice:
- Research-educational bandwidth data for 2022. We completed our annual inventory of research-educational bandwidth this fall, so the 2022 values for research-educational networks are no longer forecasts. As a part of the analysis, we sometimes revise historical data as well.
- Updates to the addressable market size based on the timing and ownership of planned cables.
- Adjusted price erosion trajectories based on new market intelligence.
