The Transport Networks Forecast Service has been refreshed for Q1 2024.
There are several notable changes this quarter:
Price Forecasts. This update contains final year-end 2023 prices that we observed in the market for 10 Gbps, 100 Gbps, and 400 Gbps wavelengths. We’ve adjusted price erosion trajectories based on new market intelligence and extended the forecast period to 2030.
Product Mix. We’ve slowed the uptake of 400 Gbps in the forecasts. Demand for this product is emerging slower than anticipated.
Also updated this quarter: addressable market size based on the timing and ownership of planned cables, and supply exhaustion model based on new cable announcements.
