The Transport Networks Forecast Service has been refreshed for Q4 2023.
There are several notable changes this quarter:
Content provider bandwidth. While we are still in the process of finalizing the year-end 2023 content provider data, we already have enough insight to provide some substantial refinements in this update. The Q1 2024 version will contain our final year-end 2023 data for content providers.
Research-educational networks for 2023. We completed our annual inventory of research-educational capacity this fall, so the 2023 values for research-education networks are no longer forecasts. As a part of the analysis, we occasionally revise historical data as well.
Price forecasts. We adjusted price erosion trajectories based on new market intelligence. The prices shown for year-end 2023 are still forecasts, but very close to the values we will end up with as historicals. The Q1 2024 version will contain our final year-end 2023 pricing data.
