Today the i3forum announced the expansion of its successful Insights tool, which will now offer an Insights Light tier.
This extended offering is designed for smaller voice teams who require occasional market tracking and insight, while the flagship Insights solution remains available to large voice teams who rely on such market intelligence for day-to-day business operations.
Both levels of service are available to international carriers whether or not they are i3forum members.
The unique Insights solution allows participating carriers to share anonymized data for bespoke benchmarking. It provides intelligence on more than 17,400 destinations with over 3 million individual data points to compare and contrast.
With the expansion of the service, the i3forum team is looking forward to even more data potential.

Current contributors include BICS, BTS, iBasis, Orange, Tata Communications, Sparkle, Telefónica International Wholesale Services, and Telstra.
Since its launch in 2020, Insights users have had early access to voice industry trends, from a pandemic-induced surge in international calling to a sevenfold increase in international voice traffic to Ukraine in March 2022.
Once approved for product usage, participating carriers upload their voice traffic data into the Insights system operated by TeleGeography on behalf of the i3forum.
Participants may compare their own data against the anonymized, aggregated data provided by other carriers via the state-of-the-art analytics engine Tableau, an industry leader in analytics and business intelligence. Data provided by a carrier is kept 100% confidential.
Light tier participants will have access to simplified static reports detailing both aggregate voice market trends and detailed benchmarks of key KPIs against market levels. Their data submission requirement is further reduced to quarterly uploads (from monthly) to lessen internal resource requirements.

This unique database currently focuses on three core KPIs: geographic data, traffic/revenue, and "quality data," which includes roaming support, network-efficiency ratio, service level, and other key measurements.
