Network Conferences

Capacity Middle East looks a little different this year. And not just because the program includes even more virtual presentations and panels.

The 2021 agenda outlines events from late March through May, leading up to the onsite event in Dubai.

TeleGeography is glad to again be a Capacity Middle East partner. You can tune in to catch our team during the online event proceedings, where we'll be sharing some of our newest insights on the region.

What kind of conversations can you expect?

To start, you might know that Egypt is regarded as a gatekeeper for subsea connectivity for the Middle East. But there's been more conversation about geographic diversity and building resilience elsewhere in the region, indicating an appetite to open up new routes.

On May 10, Senior Analyst Paul Brodsky will moderate a panel on the topic, exploring why competition could be beneficial for the Middle East subsea space.

Senior Analyst Kate Reilly will also be in the Capacity Middle East mix.

You can catch her in a panel discussion about subsea ownership models. She'll consider how the consortium model has been an influencer in subsea deployment for the last quarter of a century. And how OTT service providers and hyperscalers have been driving the finance models for new submarine systems. In the midst of high competition, is the consortium model still viable today or will there be any other shifts in ownership structures?

(On that note, you might enjoy revisiting Kate's Middle East trends presentation from last fall. Her slides cover bandwidth trends, the 5G impact, and regional subsea opportunities.)

Again, all of this conversation is happening May 10, as part of the 2021 Capacity Middle East online event agenda. We hope to see you there.
