TeleGeography product update: our new and improved WAN Cost Benchmark is here. This offering allows users to model their hybrid WAN expansion plans and compare network costs across different scenarios—a streamlined process in an easy to use interface.

Here's how it works and how you can get it.

The WAN Cost Benchmark calls on TeleGeography's pricing databases—filled with over 2 million pricing data points—to provide you a tool that helps you get a better handle on your network costs.

A Streamlined Process

  1. To model your next hybrid WAN expansion, you'll start by defining new sites according to your network preferences, including access type, port technology, capacity, and CPE.

  2. Next, you can take a closer look at a specific scenario you have developed and review how that network configuration compares to the rest of your network. Easily review your new costs by geography and technology.

  3. After you have created several scenarios, you can compare one network configurations against another to see how each stack up. Prefer to work in Excel? No problem. Our application allows you to export your scenarios to Excel for further analysis against other data you have in-house.

Repeat steps as necessary until you arrive at your optimal network configuration that balances capacity, speed, and cost.

Staying on Top of Network Price Changes

Any budget-conscious WAN manager recognizes that connectivity costs change. Constantly.

Not to worry. A feature of the WAN Cost Benchmark is a quarterly email alert. TeleGeography updates its pricing databases on an ongoing basis, so we can let you know if your network configuration cost has changed. You'll always be ready for your next network spend benchmark.
