Capacity Europe 2024—happening October 15-17 in London—will once again bring together the global digital infrastructure universe.

And you can bet that TeleGeography's Rob Schult will be on the scene.

You can catch him on Wednesday, October 16, when he'll join a panel to discuss diversity in submarine cable routes.

Here's some food for thought directly from the event agenda: the outages of several subsea cables in the Middle East and Africa are purportedly forcing internet traffic from Europe to Asia to be rerouted onto terrestrial or satellite networks. However, the quality of service and low latency cannot be replicated.

This vindicates the position that diverse routes are a must to guarantee backup connectivity.

Panelists will discuss beneficial business models and partnerships for successful cable builds, as well as potential alternative routes and how to attract investment from lenders.

See you there, cable fans.

Capacity Europe is the continent’s largest meeting for global connectivity enablers and infrastructure operators, with over 3,000 attendees from 1,000 companies.
